Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is a Hollywood actor, writer and bestselling novelist. Her skills have earned her international recognition. She's a Sagittarius born on December 3, 1960 in North Carolina. She is oldest among three siblings. She was born to Peter Moore Smith who was an Army paratrooper. The mother of her child Anne works as a psychotherapist. She's English and Scottish descent. Moore's father moved around frequently due to his work. It was difficult for her to make and keep friendships. Moore was in the class of Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved to America. Moore began her career in theatre. She continued her education at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. in Theater. Moore relocated in New York after graduating and began her career in off-Broadway theatre. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore appeared in her first on-screen appearance. The break came in 1986 when she played the roles of Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes in the show The World Turns. She stayed on this show until 1988, when she received a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, she made her debut as an actress in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Then, she described it as a low budget film. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and 3 Women (1997) were all made with Robert Altman. Her role in critically acclaimed short-cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore played her first big part in Safe, a 1995 film. Steven Spielberg, who was director for Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997, one of the year's highest earning films, chose Moore as the main actress. The year 1999 was the first time she received an SAG award for her work in Magnolia. In 2002, she starred alongside her co-stars in The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. Moore's other movies include The Forgotten 2004 Freedomland 2006. Shelter (2010), and many more. Non-Stop was her film of 2014. Moore has been in many movies and television shows. The most recent of her leading roles is in 2022: When You Finish Securing the World. In Hollywood She has also become a published author for children. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and became an N.Y.T. bestseller. It was adapted as a TV series and musical. In 2013, she released the book, My Mom is a Foreigner. Moore, as a very successful actor and author she has also made her private life public. Moore got married John Robin back in 1984 after which they divorced in 1996. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children together. Moore's career, friends and family are the top priorities in her life.
